I love my yarn store. The colors and texture and possibilities, thrill me. I could not be happier with the people who work for me. I want to have the store be the best small fiber nest in this area. I love the journey knitters take me on as they plan and choose yarns for the next project. I love seeing a ball of yarn or a skein become something that can be worn or handled or loved or gifted. Just bliss, sheer bliss!

Poor Neglected Diva blog!
If only I had more time has always been my mantra. More time to read, knit, create, bead and paint. Owning shops makes it hard to find the time to devote to your own creativity when you are helping so many others achieve their creative potential. I am not all complaining and indeed, it is a privilege to help people and customers in this manner. I am as proud of them as they are of themselves when a creation or idea is brought to fruition and a finished piece is in their hands or on their bodies!
Anyhow, I have some pictures of some of the newest yarns arriving on nearly a daily basis into Diva. Enjoy and if you are a follower of this blog or sign up as a blog follower mention this entry and receive 10% off your purchase! Happy knitting!

The sale like spring, is a bit late this year and anxiously awaited by all. The selection is good and we have fabulous new yarns also included in the sale. See you there!

Japanese Earthquake Fund
I know. Believe me I know. I should post to this blog more often but I just get caught up in all that is my businesses and life and it falls by the wayside. It is only now that I am home sick with a cold that I am taking the time to write. It's very important to write now because the people of Japan need us. There are a lot of fiber enthusiasts in Japan and they are suffering along with the greater population of the devastated cities. I often think I can handle anything, if I can just have my knitting or crochet and can knit through it. I am feeling like the women there are suffering on so many levels even the level of not having any knitting with them. Sounds silly, maybe too light hearted, but it is a part of what I would be thinking of. To that end, the folks at KFI, Knitting Fever Inc, have offered to match donations to the earthquake victims up to $ 50, 000.00. Just mail a check or money order to:
JAPAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND
KFI
315 Bayview Ave.
Amityville, NY 11701
Together we can knit ourselves back to wholeness. I am on a budget right now so it is especially rewarding to know that I can make a contribution and have it matched. God bless the people of Japan and those of us stateside too because in a heartbeat, an event like this could happen to anyone of us.
